Tom's Monthly Newsletter:
February 2006
Hi Tracker Folks,
I can't believe its February all ready and we are about to begin the new Ceremony class in a little over a week. Malcolm Ringwalt and Tom Frank will be my visiting instructors that week and with their help the class should reach my highest expectations. Our new office is up and running, with a few last remaining bugs to work out but I think that you have found that things are running a bit more smoothly. Eddie Starnater and Julie Martin Lowe have worked tirelessly to bring our computer systems up to speed and the interns and caretakers have been a big help in answering the phones. Sara Tillison has just been hired on to run our office and we are extremely grateful for all those who helped with the office move and continue their support in so many areas of the Tracker School. Our future classes are booking fast and the fast approaching California series of classes should be epic. Of course, a special thanks to my son T3, as he is known here at the school, for being my right hand man at my Intensive Classes, and Nancy Klein who remains a tremendous personal assistant and inspiration to all of us. Thank you, thank you, Karl Direske, our business consultant and long time Tracker family member, has overseen the long and arduous task of pointing us back in the direction of our Vision and with his direction we will soar even higher.
In my quest to further the quality of education at the Tracker School, a new instructor program has been developed and is now in place. Through the years I have had the privilege to educate and employ some of the finest instructors and wilderness educators I have ever known. Since leaving the Tracker School community their resources have rarely been tapped by the Tracker School. Now, as an ongoing program at the Tracker School, I am inviting many of those instructors back as "Visiting Instructors", to assist me in presenting the finest Wilderness Survival, Tracking, and Philosophy education you could ever imagine. For instance, Frank and Karen Sherwood who had been my head instructors for over 14 years and helped me found the Tracker School will return for various classes in California and New Jersey. Ruthanne Colby-Martin will also return for various classes with her exceptional teaching skills, along with several other long time Tracker Instructors that I will bring in at various times and for a variety of classes. No doubt, this will bring the Tracker education to its highest level ever.
And last, but certainly not least, the Tracker School bids a fond goodbye to two great instructors. Kristy and Billy McConnell are departing from the Tracker School after several great years, as they now seeking their own unique paths and visions. We will sorely miss them and their expertise and wish them All Good Medicine as they continue their journey through this great adventure we call life. The best of luck to both you guys and May the Great Spirit Bless all of your trails.
All Good Medicine,
