Course Series Overview
"To the scout, the wilderness had to be his home. He had to live in perfect balance and harmony with creation and follow its laws. His skill had to keep him safe and secure in all elements and landscapes, where he would need for nothing. His self-sufficiency would give him the utimate freedom to go as long and as far as he needed, without depending on anything but the earth. Until the scout attained and exceeded this level of skill and ease in living, he would stand out on the land and become a liability. Classic survival skills were not enough; they were just the beginning of that perfection and ultimate invisibility."

Course Description
Tom feels that the Advanced Scout class is the most important class in the Scout Track. Once the basic Scout techniques are mastered, there are volumes of more intense information, techniques and skills that still remain to be taught. It is extremely important that you practice all of your Scout skills and be in good physical condition before attending this class. Because there is so much to teach, none of the information, skills or techniques of the Scout or Scout Philosophy classes will be repeated, reviewed or discussed, and there will be no time set aside for you to build your primitive shelter. Be prepared for long days and longer nights, filled with continuous lectures, workshops and adventures.
