Tracker School Internship Program
The Intern Program offered by the Tracker
School provides an opportunity for interested
folk to delve deeper into the multiple
realms of the school. Intems are provided
the opportunity to have close contact
with the school on a consistent basis
for a length of time, generally six months.
This enables them to develop skills in
leadership, human management, business,
organization, and facility management,
as well as personal growth, survival and
spiritual skills. The nature of an Internship
is to gain supervised, practical training
in the field of interest. As a world-renowned
wilderness survival school, the Tracker
School offers ample opportunities in the
realm of real-life experience in this
field.
The Intern Program is designed to fulfill
multiple goals for both the school and
the intern. First and foremost, it is
a program to provide a closer student-to-staff
ratio. The added role of interns provides
a tighter network of support for the student's
needs. It also allows the Instructor team
to focus completely in two areas: the
student's growth through lectures, workshops,
answering questions and personal interactions;
and their mentorship under Tom to further
their abilities as Instructors.
Interns gain an intimate knowledge of
the web of interworkings of the school,
allowing them not only invaluable experience
on this side of a business and school,
but the opportunity to develop marketable
skills in these areas. They benefit by
an inherent mentorship by the school,
Instructors and the Intern Coordinator.
